Govan Dockyard Govt To Pay Redundencies?

Recommended Posts

Was only a brief snippet on the news - but two dockyards in Scotland are to close because the govt has agreed to pay for the redundencies...

Johnston added that moving to one site would save between £350million and £500million and said theMoD "has committed to underwrite the necessary closure costs".

So does this man that a 25 year old earning 25k a year will be paid a reflective salary for the rest of his life?

Could he have an upfront payout so he can go off and start his own business...?

I thought not
