Having watched it the single most worrying aspect was the filming of the Central Mosque in Birmingham. The hands being raised in support of a conspiracy theory and belief that 7/7 was an attack on Islam was frightening. Perhaps a few might be fooled but to see almost every hand raised shows what a split society we have.

I know I should not be shocked, as I already really knew it, but seeing it happen on film just disgusts me. I think that they just cannot see wrong in what was done no matter what is publically stated. Time for tough decisions.

BNP?

I did not see any in the crowd, but it was a large group and most were sitting down.

I assume from your reply that you infer that I am BNP. Well you will read my posts and see that that is not what I preach. I am concerned with the breakdown of society, islamification and the appeasement of its practices, corruption in politics and many other subjects. I believe that the mainstream parties have created a vaccum for the BNP and that is a dangerous situation.

Anyway, the issue is about how the level of suspicion between Muslim and non-muslim seems to be growing. They are developing thier own parliament and legal system right in front of us. This is a direct challenge to OUR society and democracy. If that concern makes me a nazi, BNP, or whatever then so be it, but that is only in your eyes. I think that I merely can recognise an important issue that in the whole is being ignored by mainstream politicians to the detriment of this country.

Found the whole programme extremely patronising. These guys may be holocaust deniers or reckon they are the messiah but it is guys like this who take the establishment to task and don't just swallow what they are told that make sure proper evidence is gathered and corroborated.

Yeah but.. how do you explain that the train they were said (by the gvmt) to be on were in reality cancelled and if they had arrived at luton station at the time mentioned they would never have made the connection to the tube stations?

How do you explain the eyewitnesses claiming the trains exploded from under the floor or that no-one on the tube trains provides any eye-witness evidence placing the suspects at the scenes.?

How do you explain that EVERY flaming CC-TV was knackered in all the affected stations so no evidence at all these guys were even ever in the stations bombed?

Oh shit - you're THEM and I'm dead right? ;)

Conspiracy theorists are the modern day village idiots.

Society needs them to a certain extent, as a yardstick for measuring gullibility and stupidity, and as a punchline for jokes.

I'm just unsure about the whole thing...we all know that the Government lie - almost on an hourly basis. Iraq being an obvious one, amongst many, many other things.

I just find it as unbelievable that there just happened to be a training exercise on the morning or 7/7 as well as on the morning of 9/11 - how incredibly convenient (and including the days leading up to it) http://www.prisonplanet.com/agency_planned..._a_building.htm

Pure coincidence, twice?

I think your a village idiot if you dont question things.. Not everyone believes everything at face value, what they are being force fed from the rolling news. Most conspiracy theories are a load of balls, but I believe you cant shrug off the two events below as "coincidental".

7/7 - An exercise that included a synchronised attack on the exact tube stations that were bombed, conincedentally on the same day that these bombs actually went off - I believe that there are 267 on the Underground network to choose from. Of course some stations are busier that others, but your going to do a fair amount of damage to whichever station you hit at rush-hour.

9/11 - On the very morning that 9/11 happened, the NRO were planning an exercise where a plane would hit a building.

Wasn't it a paper only exercise following the most common threats to a business of that size and location. That had been carried out on many other clients before and after 7/7 and

inlcuded other scenarios.

I thought it was telling when the Mullah said 'I want you to raise your hands if ... ' and before he had even finished his sentence one chap stuck his hand straight up.

I noticed that, made me laugh. The whole program was a bit naff though. They spent ages debunking parts of the conspiracy theory that did not even deserve a mention in the program. I guess its easier to try and prove wrong a eccentric mans account of the events than actually find answers to all the awkward unanswered questions.

Before those programs even start you can tell they are not really going to dig very deep.

It's annoying when you have people saying "the government would never lie to us like that" when they have a pretty good record of lies and cover up, they have whole departments devoted to it after all. I am not saying I think it was a government conspiracy, I have an open mind on these sorts of things.

I thought it was a pretty poor programme all round to be honest and as a bit of journalism didn't really add much apart from the fact that a lot of conspiracy theorists are nutters (no shock there) and some people are in denial over this whole tragedy (the mosque filiming plus the conspiracy theorists). So not much I am sure most of us didn't know anyway.........

I dont think they are really 'nutters' per se. I think they just lack the inate faculty that most people have to apply simple sceptical analysis to various situations. This is why they are so very gullible on the one hand, yet totally paranoid that they are being deceived. Yes, they are being deceived, they just get a bit muddled up about who is doing the deceiving.

Take this one, for eg.

How do you explain the eyewitnesses claiming the trains exploded from under the floor or that no-one on the tube trains provides any eye-witness evidence placing the suspects at the scenes.?

Now, absolutely anyone possesed of even the most basic critical faculties can see the glaring problems with this statement.

But conspiracy theorists can go one better than that. Look here

http://www.911kemet.co.uk/london_bombing.html

Scroll down to the bit about the floor plates. Now look at the photo of said floor plates. Thats right folks. So devoid of elementary analytical and critical prowess are such people that right in the middle of their article, they can post photographic evidence that pretty conclusively debunks the claim they are attempting to make.

I guess I should feel sorry for them. But I dont.

Although I love a good conspiracy and think a large proportion of things that people accept to be the truth are completely wrong.

I'm at a loss to think what could have been achieved by 7/7.

Unanswered questions.

I trust this man over the Government. Why? Because he was there and fortunately he lived to tell the tale.

Cambridge Evening News, July the 25th 2005

bruce_lait.png

Cambridge dancer Bruce Lait has spoken of his miraculous escape when a bomb exploded just yards away from him in a Tube train carriage.

The 32-year-old was knocked out by the blast and awoke to a terrible scene of devastation in the underground tunnel near London's Aldgate East station.

So lucky: Bruce recovers in hospital

Mr Lait, who teaches dance in Cambridge, believes he and his dance partner Crystal Main were the only passengers in the carriage who survived the blast without serious injury - even though they were sitting nearest to where the bomb detonated.

When he came to, there was a body lying on top of him and he was surrounded by the dead and injured. But incredibly, the only wounds the dance coach sustained were facial lacerations and a perforated eardrum.

"I feel extremely, extremely lucky," he said.

The explosion happened just after Mr Lait and Ms Main, 23, got on the train at Liverpool Street on their way to the South Bank for a rehearsal.

He recalled that the carriage had about 20-25 people in it, from all walks of life, and aged from their teens to over 60.

"I remember an Asian guy, there was a white guy with tracksuit trousers and a baseball cap, and there were two old ladies sitting opposite me," he said.

"We'd been on there for a minute at most and then something happened. It was like a huge electricity surge which knocked us out and burst our eardrums. I can still hear that sound now," he said.

The impact of the blast made him pass out. As he came to, he wondered whether he was alive or dead.

"We were right in the carriage where the bomb was. I was knocked out. I did not know what was going on.

"I wondered if I was dead or not. I said to myself, you can't be dead because your brain is having conscious thoughts, so concentrate hard. I was telling myself 'wake up Bruce, wake up'."

Royal visit: At Royal London Hospital

Disorientated, he only gradually realised where he was and what had happened.

"When I woke up and looked around I saw darkness, smoke and wreckage. It took a while to realise where I was and what was going on, then my first concern was for Crystal.

"She was okay but she was in shock because she was trying to deal with the person on top of her who had massive head injuries. We have just found out that this person died," said Mr Lait, who lives in Suffolk.

He too was afraid to move because there was a seriously injured woman lying on top of him.

"I realised someone was lying on top of me. I tried not to move her because I didn't know if she was still alive, or I could have made it worse. This person also died, while on top of me."

At the same time, he slowly tried to work out whether he or Crystal had been injured.

"I thought if I can wiggle my toes I'm okay, and I could, and I asked Crystal to do the same."

Describing the scene as they waited for help, he said: "It was just the most awful scene of death and there were body parts everywhere. There was something next to me. I was trying not to look. I couldn't figure out what it was."

When paramedics arrived, they confirmed that the woman on top of him was dead and carefully moved her body. Mr Lait said the middle-aged woman had blonde curly hair, was dressed in black, and could have been a businesswoman.

He and Crystal were helped out of the carriage. As they made their way out, a policeman pointed out where the bomb had been. It was like a huge electricity surge which knocked us out and burst our eardrums.

Tube survivor Bruce Lait

"The policeman said 'mind that hole, that's where the bomb was'. The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train. They seem to think the bomb was left in a bag, but I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag," he said.

They were led through the tunnel to the platform at Aldgate, which was just a few hundred yards away, and taken out of the station to wait for an ambulance.

Mr Lait was taken to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, where he was visited by the Queen on Friday.

He said: "They asked would I mind if my name were put forward and I said I'd love to meet the Queen, even if the circumstances weren't ideal."

Sitting with his parents, Pat and Tom, Mr Lait told the Queen as she stood at his bedside: "I'm very thankful to still be here."

He said of Her Majesty: "She just seemed very nice and concerned, she seemed very genuine."

Now back at home, he has been trying to recover from the ordeal, with the help of friends and family.

Mr Lait, who teaches the Latin formation team XS, based in Cambridge, and the Cambridge Dancers' Club, said he has been moved by people's care and consideration.

On the floor: Bruce & dance partner Crystal, who was also on the train

"I've had people who know me phone me from all over the world and ask if I am alright. Those pictures of me and the Queen have gone all over the world."

And he said the terrible experience has given him a new outlook on life.

"It has made me realise how important life is, and that we only get one life, and we've got to be happy with what we've got in our lives."

Reflecting on the ordeal, he said: "Out of that whole carriage, I think Crystal and I were the only ones who were not seriously injured, and I think we were nearest the bomb.

"It makes me thank Him up there. I'm not overly religious but I'm not a disbeliever. I pray now and again. Something like this has just made me think, 'thank you Lord'."

I am not saying I think it was a government conspiracy, I have an open mind on these sorts of things.

That conspiracy minded people are more "open minded" is a false construct that was thoroughly demolished by QualiaSoup in his famous video:
