What Do You Do When Your Housemate Tops Themselves?

Recommended Posts

Post on MSE apparently, asking whether you are liable for their share of the rent!

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showth....html?t=1782221

Please restrain yourselves from posting on the MSE thread; the poster might in fact be genuine, and I wouldn't like us to cause any offence.

This is a prime example of false advertising raising up the hopes.

I thought it was going to be a Big Brother thread.

HPC forum members causing offence? Yeah IMHO don't post on this one :P

IMHO My advise :

I would want to move as soon as possible, if it is a rental place I would talk to the landlord/agency and see if they will let you leave early. If landlord is a bstard talk to local newspaper make the front page and then talk to the local housing authority who will me more inclined to help you out..

Mistake calling the law.

He could have dressed up as his mate and claimed benefits.

Some people are so honest

It's got to be a windup. Surely he wouldn't have finished dealing with the police etc yet?

"this morning" and posts at 11.51pm.

I reckon normal humans might not want to sit at home on the internet

"Hi there, I've been a long time lurker and avid follower of the site but I come to you for sombre reasons."

and that's the biggest giveaway.

Lies. Lies. Lies. Is it a new labour policy think tank idea coming up?

"Does anyone know what happens with bills/rent etc? I'm starting to worry that now I will not only have lost a friend, but my home - as I can't afford to pay his share of the rent also, not to mention his half of the bills"

It's a major shock when someone you know dies and worrying about being made homeless probably doesn't help.
