Ronnie Biggs - A Kitten Compared To Today's Ruling Criminals.

Recommended Posts

OK, so what Ronnie and his gang did was illegal, and the relatives of the guy who eventually died won't feel any sympathy for him. But he didn't force anyone to lose their jobs, homes and livelihoods did he? Meanwhile the true criminals of today are going to be able to retire with a large pension ( a la Goodwin). Ever had the feeling you've been had?

Ronnie Biggs made the state look like fools. The Great train robbery showed the security that was in place for the movement of old bank notes was weak. It is always easier to seal from on organisation from the inside and the sentences for conviction are so much lighter. Take as an example the case of Ernest Saunders http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Saunders he only received 10 months in prison for a multi million pound crime. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinness_share-trading_fraud
