How Close To Rv Are We Now?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone give me an idea of how close NI housing is right now to RV?

What does the RV really mean? And if we're not there, will prices ever reach as low as RV?

In the area I'm looking at, Bt16, a house just came on the market for a silly figure of £150K, but RV is only £75K.

Am I wrong to assume that RV is about what a house 'should' be worth?

There's been loads of discussions of this over the last 2 years. This link is the latest one

might give you some ideas - if you look on other pages you will probably find others.

Problem is that all domestic and non-domestic valuation lists have an "antecedent valuation date". when the new "list" comes out it refers to values two years past. Not sure what the AVD was for the current list as I don't practice in the UK anymore but did a lot of rating work a few centuries ago. Most of the values for domestic (household) were prepared by EA's at a nominal amount per property. Most surveyors I know wouldn't touch them.

Hope this helps
