You are right, i think, (had a few drinks) the western world does not realize that "WE" are not having enough babies/children, that will support our current or future levels of financial problems/debt, So western countries are in a "catch22" situation......................... let imigration happen and upset the indigenous people, (if you really can call us that????) or play to peoples fears like the BNP do.????????????

"LUNAR House" in that photo!

The Capital 'L' spelling of 'Lunar' means "Moon Goddess"

What sort of country are we living in - BABYLON?

Why does Britain need more kids when the jobs they would do are being exported to China and India? And why will kids of foreign parents choose to slave away paying high taxes to fund British debts and British pensions for old white people?

Britain would benefit from a significant reduction in population, which would reduce the cost of living and increase self-sufficiency.

There are good reasons for allowing controlled immigration, but 'we need more kids to support us' is certainly not one of them.

Well put!

I have yet to see any real and cogent justifications as yet, BTW.

One hoary old "Fact" trotted out by the NuLab fantasists and the Pinko Ivory Tower Dwelling Bleeding Heart Do Gooder Liberals is the NHS: the simple fact is that if the NHS paid realistic wages to those at the bottom end of the scale, rather than obscene salaries and pension deals to the skads of pointless "managers" then the problem would have self-solved.

The expedient Knee Jerk "Justfication" in the early 1950s for recruiting staff for London Transport from e.g. the Caribbean area was that no one wanted to take the jobs: again, wages were far too low.

Spain for example, elevated the job of bus driver to a socially important function: since lack of transport infrastructure was correctly perceived as critical to economic advancement, holistically.

As unemployment increases month on month to the point where a new Primark Store was receiving thousands of applications for one hundred odd jobs (And this work could hardly be described as demanding Rocket Scientist Calibre now could it!), it is socially, economically and politically insane to try and mount the argument that Brits aren't having enough babies: not surprising reaqlly is it!

With both men and women working full time to survive, how could they afford to?

And more cynically, where would they find the time?

Agree 100%. As to the 'we need more kids so we''ll allow wholesale immigration' argument, anyone who understands that pyramid selling can only ever benefit a choice few at the top, will know why that won't work. Sadly a fair few have been sucked in by a pyramid scheme - of buying houses to rent so as to get a pension in old age - so I reckon quite a number must not have a helluva lot of reasoning ability. That, or their greed has blinded them to reality. <_<

Easy solution.......let these countries join the EU.

The Government could even gain tuition fees from 'students' going to madrasas in Pakistan learning how to blow up London buses.

You might jest!

But the Euro fantasists nurture just such ambitions!

I have though for some years that the Insane EU architects suffer from the same illness as EAs!

Locally, we have one area which for various reasons has always been considered Nob's Alley.

Now all apart from the core fact that the descriptor can be taken in both contextual meanings ( ), the EAs in full marketing frenzy have gone through a sort of psychotic mania for naming each extension of this relatively tiny area such as "Garden Village", "Catchment", "Suburb: and since it is in deepest Essex, at last count I believe they have extended the place to a couple of miles shy of Doncaster!

The still discussed concept of a Mediterrean Union could perhaps be the first step in this direction.
