Margaret Moran Owns Four Homes

Recommended Posts

Dry Rot spiv MP Margaret Moran owns four homes, 'three of which have been partly funded by the taxpayer' says The Telegraph today.

But the disgraced MP has yet to pay any of the £22,500 'dry rot' cash back, and is asking to pay 'in instalments'.

Stupid, feckless, potless and without principles - perfect NuLabour material.

I say give her 7 days to stump up, or send in the repo heavy brigade!!

Also why would an MP want to claim using taxpayers money on a second home if their main home and constituency is less than 14 miles from Westminster if it was not for their own personal gain?

.... all respect, creditability and integrity flown out of the window. ;)

Well there's the second home, the second second home and the third second home.

Nah, they're all effectively primary residences (on a rotating basis, for a short while, when taxpayers money needs spending on maintenance or furniture, etc.).

And what are the odds on each being the primary residence when sold off, so that capital gains tax is avoided.

Here's another beauty from The Telegraph today:

James Clappison MP for Hertsmere: Conservative

James has claimed £100K over the years, some of it related his second home in St Albans, 15 miles from Westminster.

'The Shadow Minister owns 24 houses...He rents out 22 houses in North Humberside..'

Here is an article from the Spanish press about Margaret Moran and her Villa in Spain. She tried to block a footpath over her land but didn't count on the Spanish. First she used House of Commons headed note paper to write to them. They took her to court and won. It is suggested that she put the solicitors bill for this court case on her MP's expenses.

You can get a rough translation with google if you want to read it.

Super... I can now be assured he will be on the side of affordable housing for the British population <_<

FFS these w@nkers, that should be acting in our interests, must be made to declare this kind of investment. This clearly has been a MAJOR factor in the housing boom of the last 10+ years

EDIT To clarify: Obviously not just him, but MP BTL empires, and housing market speculation using tax payer money, in general

From the translated article:

Some of the translation is quite rubbish but the general gist can be got

Scum bag!

Hispanist Gerard Brenan, English pioneer of tourism in the area, or have inherited phlegm distinguishes the subjects of his majesty. This is the case of Margaret Moran, a Labor MP facing the people of ALPUJARREÑOS Carataunas to cut the road to a house of his property where they have invested a few pounds from the English exchequer.

The London newspaper "The Daily Telegraph" includes the name of the lady in the list of Fathers who have received public money to cover superfluous. En el caso de Moran, el rotativo desvela que ha pagado facturas derivadas de un contencioso que mantuvo con vecinos de Carataunas por cortar un espacio público que enlaza con su linda vivienda. In the case of Moran, the newspaper reveals that he paid bills arising from a dispute it had with neighboring Carataunas to cut a public space that links to your beautiful home. En concreto, la diputada intentó colar como gastos de su oficina de la Cámara de los Comunes las 811 libras que le cobró el abogado por el litigio español. Specifically, the deputy tried to cast as his office expenses of the House of Commons that the 811 pounds he gained by litigation counsel Spanish.

In December 2006 Margaret cut the road adjacent to his property on the pretext that the place had become a franchise of the rural M-40. He argued that the noise arising from road traffic to bother the tenants of the house, which leases much of the year to remove an extra added to it annually receives 64,766 pounds for their parliamentary activity. The decision to put gates to the field to a curl in the vicinity, since blocked without warning for many people the move to their estates by the usual way.

Capital surprise

For INRIA, Margaret Moran used official letterhead of the House of Commons to report the closure of the road at the fence that you installed illegally.

The initial surprise of injured preceded anger. In fact, security forces prevented the quarrel between the Moran family, consisting of the deputy and his brother, and neighbors to reach higher. The confrontation eventually was channeled legally civilized manner, through the courts, which granted the right to association Eternal Father, denouncing the absurdity. The court held that Órgiva public road and surrounded unilateral terms are contradictory, so they ordered the removal of the fence and ordered the owner to refrain from repeating grace.

The outcome of the legal dispute has not eased, however, the criterion that some neighbors of the parliament. "It is a bad person," says a native, who complain of the arrogance of Margaret, his contempt for the indigenous inhabitants of the intransigence that has kept since he decided on his own to cut the common path.

"Not for nothing '

A source however shun municipal pejoratively to describe an English citizen who raises at least affection ALPUJARREÑOS region. Believes that the controversy is over and stressed that the parliament is meeting its tax obligations on time UK: 'Do not tax the City Council, "he says.

But since the money is not everything, some people will criticize the little lady its attachment to the place, which was not dropped. "I just came," he says. Also, when you arrive, or mix with people and shared their customs. That is why nobody in the town rely on local people to see her play a game of Tute, cousin of the proletarian bridge.

Carataunas is the least populated town of Las Alpujarras. The census of 2008 gives 197 inhabitants, of whom 47 are foreigners. Almost half of the foreign residents comes as the Labor MP Margaret Moran, the United Kingdom. La Querencia in English for this beautiful place, situated 800 meters above sea level, ie level with mountain has a long history. In particular the first half of the twentieth century. Writers of the island lovers of the region have been the detonator of the gradual arrival of British. Most important, Gerard Brenan, who in the twenties, during a visit to Spain, was fascinated by the places and the people of this land to the south of Granada.

It doesn't matter what country, in what part of the world. One thing stands as a fact. Politicians don't get into politics to make our life better, they get into politics to make THEIR lives better.

I have tried pointing out to people many times before just what an illusion Democracy is. Two main parties and a bunch of also-rans who, in all honesty, will never hold any real power and are there simply to give the illusion of choice. The people fronting the two main parties are just the front men, the taking heads, whereas the real power lies with the backroom players and the old boy network, as well as big businesses and their deep pocketed lobbyists. No form of government oversight, everything shrouded in secrecy and ever more draconian always to keep us all in line and criminalising dissent and investigation into their misdeeds.

Some choice we get! :(

Sold down the river, by the honorable people who were voted into a position of trust and have gone on to betray that trust.

Are you saying there's no North Humberside?

There's a full biog of every single MP published being in the Telegraph or online on 23 June. Perhaps that will give us more detail on his portfolio.

HMRC should petition the courts for her bankruptcy. Once that is cleared the case itself can be taken up by the fraud squad.
