Annually Managed Expenditure (AME) which is made up of less predictable spending elements like social security and debt interest.

now that's a tasty chart. I have several friend's who fit that exactly.
Home-towns were devastated by the crash, 100% no hope of a no-skilled job (arts degree), get a 20k job in the big smoke, dont save a penny.
Eventually get sick of london, or have a breakdown, or all their friends marry off and due to rich london parents.  

Lots of devastated 29 year old women heading home with nothing to show for their lives very depressed back to home-towns. To spend endless days just watching netflix and rotting on sofas.
