Eas Advertising Offers

Recommended Posts

Came across an advert placed by an EA in the back of this week's Homefinder -

The following house -

www.propertynews.com/426n7

with the blurb basically saying - acting on behalf of the owner, we have received an offer of £200K for the property and will proceed with the sale unless in improved offer is received within 7 days.

This seemed unusual to me, but perhaps i've just missed them up until now. Smacked of desperation, I thought.

Surely with the upturn here, one would just reject such an offer, being confident that a higher one was just round the corner? ;)

p.s. Interestingly, rateable value is £245K.

I've seen those ads but its been the repossessor who has been selling it. They have to advertise in case there is a better offer and the poor vendor gets done over more than usual.

Ah, I see.
