Fuzz Will Investigate Trougher Mps.

Scotland Yard has decided to launch an investigation into the alleged misuse of expenses by a small number of MPs and peers, the BBC has learned.

It follows a public outcry about the way many MPs had been using their second homes expenses.

Since the scandal broke, several MPs have announced they will be stepping down at the next election.

Police say officers from their economic and specialist crime command will conduct the investigation.

It will be overseen by the Metropolitan Police's temporary assistant commissioner Janet Williams, a former special branch commander.

In a statement, the force said: "After consideration by the joint Metropolitan Police and Crown Prosecution Service assessment panel the Met has decided to launch an investigation into the alleged misuse of expenses by a small number of MPs and Peers."

They will not confirm who is under investigation nor what parties they are from.

Come on you useless plods - instead of tazering chavs and harassing innocent members of the public earn your money.

I thought they weren't going to investigate them? I doubt anything will come of it. The rats look after their own.

They weren't - but the papers have had experts on the case that have clearly demonstrated that criminal activity has taken place.

It's therefore no longer possible to simply hope the issue goes away and ignore it as Downing Street wanted. If troughers did the crime they have to do the time.

Took their time didn't they.

Plod: So Mr Chaytor, do you agree you have reclaimed for a mortgage here? [points to huge pile of paper labelled evidence]

Chaytor: errr

Plod: And did you have a mortgage at this time?

Chaytor: errr

Plod: I think we've heard enough Mr Chaytor, thank you for your cooperation, we'll call you once the CPS has decided what to do with your case. [Turns to Plod II and winks]

Britain's first muslim woman peer - Baroness Uddin

Pola_Uddin_image_as_published_on_DAILY_MAIL_Group_web_site.jpg

Nice to hear Baroness Udder's name is now in the frame for investigation.

Claimed a Maidstone flat as principal place of residence for three years. She's claimed £100K for it. Neighbours had never seen her until The Times revealed the story. All of a sudden her family were down there hanging curtains etc.

A past director of ten companies, her main family home for decades has been in the East End. Problem is - it's social housing at reduced rent!! She had the gall to speak in the Lords about the lack of social housing on her manor!!!

True - she's occupying it!!!!

If you don't know this case have a good look. The cheek and greed is noteworthy, even among the spivs in politics.

Gaol 'em now.

Not quite yet.

There's still a judicial process to go through. Innocent until proven guilty, trial by jury . . .

Oh no, wait . . .

Obviously they can do this now the information is officially in the public domain, despite being accurate the Telegraph leaks would be inadmissible in court.
