I Need A Duff Name To For A Newspaper Interview

Recommended Posts

No, it's not a national, just a local who wants to speak with me about a local issue. They say they need my name (not sure why).

As I am the admin/owner of a local website, I want to preserve anonymity and therefore need a duff name which will be witty and yet sensible enough to get past the reporter.

So, HPC is the place to ask.

The theme of the article is on speeding cars in residential areas in a particular place in the South East of England.

I know this is waay off-topic but please leave a little while mods, and add your own. Move to OT at will.

My starter for 10:

Alasondro Alegre from the Beastie Boy's Sabotage video. Reason: Cos I think it's cool and I dig the big old car in the video :P

Thanks for the suggestions. Crackingly good ideas there.

Sarah Bell - why would they want a real name at all? This is the bit I'm not sure about. They say in the letters page that a name and address are required for anything to be printed in the paper as well.

I've always fancied the name Nathaniel J. Cuntbiscuit as well but that's not going to slip under the radar.

No don't have a rude fake name. Just a really normal one.

You can write your letter and sign it:

John Stinkbottom, Localarea

Nom de plume of YOUR REAL NAME and Address.

They don't publish it.

It's just an etiquette thing - to make sure you're not evil politicians faking letters mainly. And to weed out the labour supporters.
