" took Zebedee, my eight-year-old, with me to look at 2 Vardens Road, in Battersea, south London"

http://www.houseprices.co.uk/e.php?q=2%2C+...11+1RH&n=10

Sale Date Price Type Tenure New Build Address

1 02/03/2009 £1,300,000 Det. F No 2 Vardens Road, Wandsworth, London, Greater London, SW11 1RH

Is her column that far out of date?

How's this Property's value going to fare in a World when Banker and Lawyers

are losing their jobs and making alot less money

Are they though? Apparently this place was on for 1.425 and sold for 1.3 mil, more than double its 2001 price - still a lot bankers, consultants etc.. to go round unfortunately

she has a sone called Zebedee, but thinks that s modern house is tacky?

My thoughts exactly. I feel sorry for the poor mite who'll have middle aged people saying 'boing....boing...' to him, with him wondering what the hell they're on about.

Could it be that the house has been flipped in 3 months and is back on the market?

It could also be a very quick re-sale for other reasons...

Hmmm if it back on the market for quick resale you expect it to be on rightmove. Nothing in that postcode...

Prices are ultimately determined from the bottom up, not suspended from the top down by those in the top 5% earning bracket.

In fairness, his friends will be called things like Freddie, Tarquin, Tilly, Rupert etc, so he won't really stand out

I doubt they'll be many Deans, Daves or Jordans in his circle of aquaintancies

True, and the mother was probably angered by her own naming misfortune. Zebedee's kids will probably endure the names 'scumbag sh1tface' or 'Gordon Brown'

You mean he won't stand out because they will all be subject to, and bare scars from, the same remorseless beatings?
