So They'e Going To Elect A New Speaker

Recommended Posts

Guest BAREBEAR_soon to be ALIVA

With a salary of over 100k a year, free London pad, nice short working week, excellent holidays and many people running around for him at his every whim.

But the question is why do they need one, what does a ' speaker' actually do apart from what we see in commons ?

Couldn't this job simply be given to anybody with a bit of experience conducting a meeting and put him/her on something like 40k.

I would love the job and that sort of wedge for doing what ?

Why not ask some of our short sighted football referees to take turns doing it. Yellow and red cards should be introduced for poor behaviour and stupid ideas. Instead of jeers we could have the development of political chanting and singing. We might have to also have stewards and police to keep rivals apart, or would fencing be appropriate. Anyone swearing or chanting obscenities would be ejected and very bad behaviour could have them banned from parliaments for life. It would also mean that we could transfer them out of the team and perhaps make money doing so. They already have an all-seated stadium and the ref has a great view The whistle would be far clearer than shouting order order.

Anyone else got any other daft ideas?
