We can't say much for our tool of a PM with his Scottish history degree and no real work experience. Of course the MSM love to roast him, as anybody who does not buy into the American dream is demonized. The real devils are the Imam's, but that is another story altogether. Ulfar
Sorry but did anyone expect any other result to the election in Iran. I don't know whether the result has been fixed but it wouldn't be a surprise, nobody will ever know unlike Zimbabwe the hardliners in Iran do not care about international opinion and they are a nuclear power. sikejsudjek
Armoured dinner jacket certainly has some odd beliefs. He is apparently one of the last 'nails' who will help the 12th Iman return to power. This will be achieved by a war against the west. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/persona...nts-a-bomb.html Last Monday, just before he announced that Iran had gatecrashed "the nuclear club", President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad disappeared for several hours. He was having a khalvat (tête-à-tête) with the Hidden Imam, the 12th and last of the imams of Shiism who went into "grand occultation" in 941. According to Shia lore, the Imam is a messianic figure who, although in hiding, remains the true Sovereign of the World. In every generation, the Imam chooses 36 men, (and, for obvious reasons, no women) naming them the owtad or "nails", whose presence, hammered into mankind's existence, prevents the universe from "falling off". Although the "nails" are not known to common mortals, it is, at times, possible to identify one thanks to his deeds. It is on that basis that some of Ahmad-inejad's more passionate admirers insist that he is a "nail", a claim he has not discouraged. For example, he has claimed that last September, as he addressed the United Nations' General Assembly in New York, the "Hidden Imam drenched the place in a sweet light". Last year, it was after another khalvat that Ahmadinejad announced his intention to stand for president. Now, he boasts that the Imam gave him the presidency for a single task: provoking a "clash of civilisations" in which the Muslim world, led by Iran, takes on the "infidel" West, led by the United States, and defeats it in a slow but prolonged contest that, in military jargon, sounds like a low intensity, asymmetrical war. In Ahmadinejad's analysis, the rising Islamic "superpower" has decisive advantages over the infidel. Islam has four times as many young men of fighting age as the West, with its ageing populations. Hundreds of millions of Muslim "ghazis" (holy raiders) are keen to become martyrs while the infidel youths, loving life and fearing death, hate to fight. Islam also has four-fifths of the world's oil reserves, and so controls the lifeblood of the infidel. More importantly, the US, the only infidel power still capable of fighting, is hated by most other nations. According to this analysis, spelled out in commentaries by Ahmadinejad's strategic guru, Hassan Abassi, known as the "Dr Kissinger of Islam", President George W Bush is an aberration, an exception to a rule under which all American presidents since Truman, when faced with serious setbacks abroad, have "run away". Iran's current strategy, therefore, is to wait Bush out. And that, by "divine coincidence", corresponds to the time Iran needs to develop its nuclear arsenal, thus matching the only advantage that the infidel enjoys. Moments after Ahmadinejad announced "the atomic miracle", the head of the Iranian nuclear project, Ghulamreza Aghazadeh, unveiled plans for manufacturing 54,000 centrifuges, to enrich enough uranium for hundreds of nuclear warheads. "We are going into mass production," he boasted.

cashinmattress
Shocking. We may see tactical nuke strikes on Iran much sooner than I thought if this stuff is true. I wouldn't say that was the case. America has a lot more problems within it's own borders to attend to, and besides, the people are tired of war and being lied to after Iraq and Afghanistan. Nuclear strikes are not an option for any nation infact. Besides, Iran is a paper tiger, and they have seen what happens when America wants to rain a decades worth of cruise missiles and precision laser guided munitions onto Iraq. America can do more damage by stoking the fires of political dissent from afar by funding Iranian radicals and splinter groups. Besides, getting Iran on line would do wonders for the petro majors and all their political pals.

MOP
I wouldn't say that was the case. I was thinking more of Israeli nuke strikes. Breaking News: Israel Says Iran Election Results Raise Nuclear Threat http://www.voanews.com/english/2009-06-13-voa17.cfm Israel Says Iran Election Results Raise Nuclear Threat By Robert Berger Jerusalem 13 June 2009 Israel is concerned about the re-election of hardline Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, saying it will increase regional tensions and instability. Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon issued a statement saying the election results show that Iran will continue its quest for nuclear weapons. He said that if there was "any shred of hope for change in Iran," the election demonstrates the increasing Iranian threat. Ayalon urged the international community to take tougher action to stop Iran's nuclear program and said there should be no dialogue with the Islamic Republic. That seemed to be a clear reference to U.S. President Barack Obama's plan to open talks with Iran. Israeli analyst Dore Gold says so far, Iran has used negotiations with the West to buy more time to build the atom bomb. "When push comes to shove the Iranians know that they can complete their program and the West is not likely to do anything about it," said Gold. "And in the meantime, the Iranian program is going full steam ahead." Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has threatened to wipe the Jewish state "off the map," so his re-election increases the likelihood of an Israeli pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. "Israel cannot allow Iran to acquire an operational nuclear capability, and I think Israeli leaders have made that point repeatedly," said Gold. Israel says time is running out. Military intelligence says Iran could acquire the materials and technology to make a nuclear bomb by the end of the year. While the United States and Israel believe Iran is developing nuclear weapons, Mr. Ahmadinejad has repeatedly said Iran's nuclear program is peaceful and is aimed at generating electricity for the people of Iran. He has insisted that nothing will stop Iran's nuclear research. What if dinnerjacket has no intentions of coming on side? He might just be playing along to buy more time.
