Brown's an economic genius and I think he's great because he's out a floor under the value of my house dropping any further! I think he should print more money and return the value of my house to 2007 prices. Screw my unborn children, that's what I say. (I know Hamish is with me anyway, aren't you me old mate?)

Not true - I know somebody who owes nothing and contributes nothing but will be receiving at least £22,667.11 next year and every year for at least 16 years!

Maybe you should let this person know that a Tory government is coming soon.

I am wondering what percentage of this goes to Asian countries. What a transfer of wealth!

You mean printed 'wealth' flowing to asian countries .. yes .. pity that !!

By the way, none of the asian countries are in dire enough straits to do 'wealth printing'

If you work 35 hours/week at minimum wage, after tax, it's more like 2 years 9 months'

I don't understand all the fuss. Can't I just remortgage to cover it? Failing that stick my portion on my credit card.

Unfortunately your IMF credit facility has some rather severe strings attached sir.

Try an remember that only working people will end up paying it back... so around 1 in 3 people.

That figure is probably based on current borrowing figures.

It doesn't include the civil service pension black hold, serps black hole, state pension black hole etc etc.

In reality the figure is in excess of an RPI linked £150,000 per working person.

It's a transfer of credit notes, not wealth. We just borrow more to cover the repayments.

Note that the containers full of actual wealth (= goods) are coming in our direction.

Enjoy it while it lasts...
