British Council Plan To Cut 500 Jobs And Offshore To India Slammed By Union

Unions have condemned the British Council's announcement that it intends to cut up to 500 jobs over the next two years and consider offshoring work to India.

Just love it, so your tax pounds are going to be used to pay non british workers, just love the idea of British job for british workers.

At least they'll all find jobs in the recovery, so it doesn't matter.

Zero overall cost savings.

Those ex-council works will need big redundancy payouts followed by indefinate housing benefits, council tax benefits, job seekers allowance, disability living allowance.

Of course, that will come under a different departments balance sheet.

The manager who offshored the jobs will get a big bonus too.
