Blears: My Resignation 'regrets'

Recommended Posts

She wants back in, she acted like a kid throwing her toys about, not getting what she wanted. Now she wants back in, well she should'nt be allowed for one reason she isnt a mature adult, thinks like a child.

Hazel Blears has said she regrets "enormously" the timing of her shock resignation - just before the local and European elections. She said she had thought as Jacqui Smith and Beverly Hughes had announced they would stand down, she could do so without sparking a "huge firestorm".

"In the end, that judgement was wrong," she told the Manchester Evening News.

She also said she regretted her YouTube quip against the PM and wearing a badge saying "rocking the boat" as she quit.

The remark came after Gordon Brown's much criticised appearance on YouTube to launch his expenses proposals.

The real issue is that a person with such apparant poor judgement was a Minister of State for so long.

Women, eh?

Or more likely the plot dissolved and she was left with nobody to invite her back in.

She hasn’t the leader qualities she’s an opinion seeker not a leader, weak mind, uses lame excuses.

You beat me to posting exactly that.

She should now shut up and accept the situation that she created for herself. The fact that she wants to come back and play reveals her total inability to take responsibility for her own actions.

That's socialism, I guess.

Guest theboltonfury

She kicked him in the testicles and now wants to say sorry whilst the blood supply is still restricted in his manhood.

Stupid, shallow bint.

Silly woman.

She should be old enough by now to take responsibility for her own actions and not be ashamed of anything she does sober.

Her regrets are at missing out on the extra wages that she presumably troughed as a minister.

Funny how we all agree about this, how we voted them into nth place in the European elections, but the evil so and sos have the bovine arrogance to remain in power.

Ah that's hilarious!!

She obviously thought that her resignation would lead to a mass exodus from the cabinet and that she'd get first dibs in the new Gov, at first, she was right, however, when the plot fizzled out she's now left out in the cold.

Insert Nelson from The Simpson's catchphrase:

Ha Ha.

Odious woman. Toksvig had me in stitches the other week - described her as a feral krankie and said she was leaving the cabinet to spend more time serving the people of Salford - poor bastards...

Unfortunately the seat Blears occupies (Salford) has a stonking inbuilt Labour majority (57.6% of the vote in 2005) so she wouldn't lose it at the GE. Hopefully though the constituency party will see her for the self-seeking back-stabbing bitch that she is and de-select her.

They are showing an interview she did today in Manchester on Daily Politics.

These people really are the lowest of the low! She said "media pressure" made here wear her "rocking the boat" badge! What a joke!

We have a bunch of kidults running the country. They've never grown up from the time they were officers in the student union (because only their sad mates could be bothered to stand or vote) or were little Hitlers convening their trade union 'shop'.

Aesop's Fables

42. THE ASS, THE FOX, AND THE LION

An Ass and a Fox had become close comrades, and were constantly in each other's company. While the Ass cropped a fresh bit of greens, the Fox would devour a chicken from the neighboring farmyard or a bit of cheese filched from the dairy. One day the pair unexpectedly met a Lion. The Ass was very much frightened, but the Fox calmed his fears.

"I will talk to him," he said.

So the Fox walked boldly up to the Lion.

"Your highness," he said in an undertone, so the Ass could not hear him, "I've got a fine scheme in my head. If you promise not to hurt me, I will lead that foolish creature yonder into a pit where he can't get out, and you can feast at your pleasure."

The Lion agreed and the Fox returned to the Ass.

"I made him promise not to hurt us," said the Fox. "But come, I know a good place to hide till he is gone."

So the Fox led the Ass into a deep pit. But when the Lion saw that the Ass was his for the taking, he first of all struck down the traitor Fox.

Traitors may expect treachery.

Can you imagine in ages past, the likes of Lord Canning, Duke of Wellington, Lord Salisbury, Winston Churchill, Bevan, Norman Tebbit, Margaret Thatcher etc. etc. behaving like this sad bunch of losers. Those were the days when we stood for something, when we had self respect, a work ethic, a sense of duty - now we're just the laughing stock of Europe, US, Asia (and soon Africa no doubt); welfare scroungers, hateful of our own heritage, a givernment worthy of Zimbabwe, lazy and incompetent etc.

Blears and Liebour project make me despair like I have never done before.

The fact she has made a statement that no one on the planet will find remotely credible is rather shocking.

Clearly she is deluded in thinking Gordon might do a Malik and bring her back.

It's the action of someone who would spout a load of meaningless guff in reply to any question in the weeks and days before her resignation. A bandwagoner and opportunist like so many of them.

Peel, Palmerston, Gladstone, Disraeli, Lloyd George, and all the leaders you've mentioned. Men and women of character, intellectual capacity and gravitas.

We have a mentally-scarred sociopathic Scottish TV Producer leading his band of political pymies into the abyss. Sad isn't it, how low we have stooped.
