Too hypothetical for me. Nothing can stop a country's leadership from QE'ing if they're really hell-bent on it. However, Zimbabwe has run its full course and abandoned itw own currecny totally, to the point where the Zinmbabwean dollar is actually rising in value on ebay at least due to a percieved scarcity to colectors in the future. I was buying 20 billion dollar notes in bulk for 20p a few weks ago. Nothing available under 70p now. Maybe Gordon's planning something similar for this green and sceptic isle.
