Sales Are On The Up.

Recommended Posts

Joiner i know sold his house in 5 Days on the market, for full asking price, he used Warners, he was in today to sign stuff etc, they told him they had there best week for the year last week sold 28 properties, and 22 the week before.

He cant find a property he likes in his preferred area Gullane within his price range 300k, so he is renting for 6 months.

I Take it the data for all these sales wont appear for a few months, it looks like peak to bottom drop was around 12%, id expect they will now creep back up again, we shall just have to wait and see how much the percentage HPI is over the next few months. :(

So can we know what the 'full asking price' was and how that compares with any recent sales, and other current sales in the same area ....?

This bit o' the story is kinda meaningless without the details.

They've currently got 215 showing on ESPC -

28 out of 215 - they sold around 13% of their total stock in one week, and

22 out of around 215 - approx 11% of their total stock the previous week?

Seriously?

BTW, is this good news or bad?

I count 14 hooses below ?300k currently for sale in Gullane, and that's not even looking at Rettie, Savill, et al - yer joiner must be quite particular .....

I have our favourite bodger on ignore, but from reading your post I bet he is wittering on about the end of the crash and how houses are all going up in price etc... yawn.

Yes I know, I just choose not to. If thetrollster had a useful contribution to make, I wouldn't have put him on ignore.

Not once yet, in any thread you've been in.

But chin up. Theres a first time for everything.

Fair play. I mean, Hamish has a track record of good calls, so he's in a position to criticise.
