House Price Crash Forum

OK I'm nagging. but write a letter to your local paper this week.

Well today!

if you email them by tomorrow lunchtime there's a chance it'll be in time for the issue later this week.

topics:

high house prices benefit no-one

MPs expenses on houses = vested interest in boom in house prices

more social housing should be built (look up figures for your council's waiting list)

cheap rents essential for economic recovery

Get it published and I'll buy you a pint[1]

[1] Obviously I'll be in the pub on Saturday ready to buy, just not telling you which pub.

:)

This so called socialist goverment won't stop selling what council housing there is left, never mind build more, in a lot of towns (Even labour controlled) they are trying to wash there hands of the council stock to third parties.

Write a letter to the paper saying how wrong it is that they won't then.

Well you see as houses they just get rental income but if you can sell them to your mates like the coventry housing association then your in line for a nice big back hander and for all i know a black pension for life.

Make no mistake this goes on big time in Leicester and it's about time someone looked at the 42 flats above the old swissh cottage on charles street leicester and learn how the whole block including the ground floor was sold for less then 100k and rumor has it that the rental income from the cottage more than covered to repayments of the loan.

Zimbarwi could learn a lot from the Leicester City Council and it's money for votes scam.

Indeed, our LA was trying to sell its council housing stock to a housing association but only last Thursday the ballot result came through and was a resounding "NO" to transfer. A great victory for tenants against the council's wall off propaganda (72% were against). 6,000 council homes will remain publicly owned rather than falling into the hands off the banks and exective officers.

This LA happens to be Tory but it's now difficult to separate the Tory plutocrats from the Labour kleptocrats.
