R K
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...peding-cow.html FORMER Home Secretary David Blunkett suffered a broken rib when he was flattened by a stampeding COW. The blind Labour MP was out walking on his 62nd birthday when an enraged herd of cattle charged towards his guide-dog Sadie. Mr Blunkett tried desperately to protect his beloved labrador cross — but stumbled to the ground as the one-ton cow tumbled over him. The politician yesterday said it was “a miracle†he wasn’t KILLED in Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park on Saturday. Mr Blunkett — out with son Andrew, 26 — told how one of the cows “let out a roar†on spotting eight-year-old Sadie. He said: “I let go of Sadie and she shot off. But the next thing I knew, I’d stumbled to the ground and the animal fell over too. “She hit my side and broke my rib. Had her full weight of around a ton hit me, I’d have been a goner.†Looks like they can no longer get away with a simple hillwalking incident. juvenal
If his hearing is so defective that he thinks cows 'let out a roar', he's better stay away from safari parks. That 'Moo' might herald a lion heading his way.

thecrashingisles
Hannan obviously wasn't joking when he said that Gordon Brown should "go by cow". Didn't think it was meant as a violent threat.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Cows are normally shit scared of dogs. Was it a bull? Not true - they're incredibly brave animals when with calf. I've nearly been killed by cows on my own farm - if you have a bag, a young child or a dog... Even ended up diving into a river during one memorable incident. Herds of bullocks are especially troublesome at times.
VeryMeanReversion
I stood my ground when a cow (not bull) ran at me. It had wandered onto an A road so I thought it best to get it back in its field. So there was me stupidly thinking "it's supposed to stop, right?". It did turn away just in time (phew) and we went out for a burger afterwards VMR. interestrateripoff
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/5472657/Da...w-stampede.html Mr Blunkett, who is registered blind, was out walking on Saturday in the Derbyshire Peak District with his guide dog Sadie and 26-year-old son Andrew when the incident unfolded. A herd of cows became enraged by the presence of labrador Sadie and charged towards the two men.Mr Blunkett was knocked to the ground by one of the animals. He said it was a "miracle" that he wasn't killed. "I let go of Sadie and she shot off," he said. "The next thing I knew, I'd stumbled to the ground and the animal fell over too. "She hit my side and broke my rib. Had her full weight of around a ton hit me, I'd have been a gonner. "I know the public are furious with politicians, but I didn't realise that anger has spread to Britain's cow population too. "A few more inches and Labour would have been facing another unwelcome by-election in my Sheffield constituency." Mr Blunkett was rushed to a specialist doctor by his fiancée, Margaret Wiliams, 50, a GP. There, he was told that he was lucky to have avoided a punctured lung. "There is a serious message from this – beware of herds of cattle, especially when walking a dog and when calves are about. "I've made inquiries and the incidence of people being attacked by cattle is extremely high, especially this time of year." Even the cow population has moved against Labour. Guest Skinty
I heard that the US navy used to try training cows to swim underwater and plant mines to the underside of ships before they found dolphins were more suited to the task.

Although I doubt Flint bouncing around on top of him could have broken his rib. Jacqui Smith of course is a different matter....... One needs to choose one's cow with care.
