Now That Brown Has No Power Over Darling Will We See Sensible Policies Out Of Number 11?

Recommended Posts

if Brown had his way he would spend spend spend till UK PLC went bust. Now Darling doesnt need to take any sh1t from Brown he will be free to do as he pleases as Chancellor (Brown cant afford him to resign and turn against Brown) will we actually see some really sensible policies coming out of Number 11 to curb the national deficit?

Unlikely, I would think. I am not sure we have ever seen any of Alistair's work (his policy making, his real view on things) in the short time he has been Chancellor.

And with Brown and Darling being little more than puppets for a party (like most politicians) with their own self interest being the only thing they care about ... why would Alistair have anything other than the party line to offer? Maybe the party line for NuLabour is, indeed, less bad than Brown's rubbish ... I dunno.

Please tell am I am wrong.

Given the extent to which Darling personally has been implicated in the expenses scandal and is associated with the recession, I can't see him having any sort of a career in senior politics after the next general election. I don't know how vulnerable his seat could be. But I really can't see that he has any motivation to attempt to impose common sense economic policies, unless it's to spite Gordon; which of course can't be ruled out...

It's quite plain our unelected dictator is running this sideshow and anyone else is irrelevant.

We just had Sugar on sky news saying he won't be able to do anything unless he first oks

it with the BBC as he has a contract with them. Rather convenient for Brown the Dictator.

Let's get one thing clear here, unelected Brown is only interested in clinging to power. He

doesn't care about the people, or how he blows their hard earned taxes. This is all in my

opinion, of course, but a sad individual and embarrassment he is to us all.

CHANCELLOR Alistair Darling has used lax Commons expenses rules to lavish almost £70,000 of taxpayers' money on his Edinburgh mansion - after it was designated his "second home".
