Andrew Scott, Prof At London Business School...

...“THE one thing that the UK does have is a very flexible and creative workforce [easy to sack, suffering from mass unemployment]," said Andrew Scott, a professor at London Business School. “In the last decade, we took that creativity into the financial-ser-vices :blink::blink: sector because that is where the returns were. But if they aren’t there anymore, [the creativity] :blink: will just go somewhere else.â€

...Five areas where British companies could do well

Private armies :blink::blink::blink:

...For that to happen, the recipe needs to be low taxes and less regulation. When the revival comes, it will be what American economists call an “enterprise recovery†- one driven by entrepreneurs forging new industries.

“At least I’ve got a job and I’m doing something I love,†said Robertson at Wellworths. So long as there are enough people around with that kind of attitude, the British economy will be just fine [a perfect example of an entrepreneur forging a new industry????????]:blink::blink::blink:

OMG! the quality of journalism in the Times has reached another new low.

How about Fraud.

We 've already got it in spades in government and the BOE, maybe a lead the population can follow, it certainly seems lucrative, pension pots are full to the brim.

So much for moral hazard, when you shit on the prudent and bail out the feckless.

There is almost no social stigma now to becoming one of them.
