My sincere thanks to wellandpower

Anyway, back onto the subject of Dogs posts.

It has been discussed and nobody seems to know who moved it. It was obviously done at somepoint and it might have even been done unknowingly.

For that I can only appoligise.

Any future posts by Dog on this topic will remain in the main forum.

We completly agree on the fact they are off topic, however it has been decided that on the basis they have "grandfather" rights to the forum, they will be allowed to remain.

I'd also like to say, regardless of where they were/are, I personally enjoy reading them each week.

Many thanks to the supporters of this thread. You comments and words of support have been greatly appreciated.

Whilst the subject of MPs expenses has made lurid headlines, the missdeeds in government and local government appear to be more serious and more widespread. This week Newham Council are advertising four jobs at £110k each. What's that all about? Have they suddenly lost 4 'divisional directors' in one fell swoop? Will anyone actually be interviewed for those jobs? Why do they need to pay so much? Why should a local council manager pay him/herself more than the prime minister? Why did it take a newspaper to get the head of child services in Harigey sacked? Why do local council employees need to go on so many foreign trips?
