Four ministers, including Communities Secretary Hazel Blears and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, have left in the last two days.

Work and Pensions Secretary James Purnell and Europe Minister Caroline Flint are now rumoured to be considering going as well in the hope of delivering a final, devastating blow.

"Brown Bread" simple enough for the Sun to take up.

Is this like Big Brother but in Westminster ?

My vote goes for Flint.

I just had to google his image and still did not recognise him!

So, someone that most of us have never heard of and would not recognise has resigned from the Cabinet - hmm, big deal!

Dream on. If the entire cabinet quit, Gordon would hang on.

Purnell had big ideas, how to get people of the sick/dole and back to work, must of broke him knowing he had no chance

Frank Field the same in the early days.

Saw the mess being created, tried to stop it, ended up sitting at the back of the bus.

James Purnell avoided paying capital gains tax on the sale of his London flat after claiming expenses for accountancy advice. Bought expensive gadgets. Spent taxpayers’ money advertising at football and rugby league matches

another hypocritical parasite of the " do as i say not as i do " variety

Netherlands Euro election result announced: Partij voor de Vrijheid (Geert Wilders) came second! 15% might not sound like a lot, but there are about 10 fringe parties there, each of which tends to get around 2-3% each, and so anything above 10% puts you into the mainstream. Can't remember their 2004 result but this must be a big increase for them.

Caroline Flint issues denial of quitting, and backs Brown.

Live now on Sky.

Sorry, but that woman brings out the sexist in me - she needs a good hard seeing to! Sorry, had to say it! I wonder what women think of her?

Flint on Sky News now. Her voice is like fingernails down a blackboard to me.

Nice resignation letter - stabbed in the front, I'd say.

Actually this is bad news, because we really need the Tories to fight Brown at the election and not some other leader. Whilst I think Labour is badly damaged it could dent any Tory majority.

There is only one proper thing to do and that's call a General Election

If i were in Gorgons shoes thats exactly what i'd do. Ask the Queen for a dissolution first thing in the morning.

That would f*ck up all the turncoats and traitors in his party as most of them would lose their seats!
