Bbc Spotlight - How The Demise Of The Celtic Tiger Is Having An Impact On Northern Ireland's Economy.

Recommended Posts

Good program from the BBC - major bear food. You will not have seen this in mainland UK. Well worth watching.

I did not realise how bad things were in Ireland.

The only question is - how far is the UK behind the South of Ireland?

Watch it again on BBC iplayer - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00kt...ght_02_06_2009/

Mandy McAuley investigates how the demise of the Celtic Tiger is having an impact on Northern Ireland's economy. In 2009 shoppers from the Republic of Ireland are expected to spend three-quarters of a billion Euro in Northern Ireland. But thousands of cross-border workers based in Northern Ireland are facing long-term unemployment as the Republic's construction boom ends.
