BLEARS, SMITH ETC RESIGNING FROM CABINET

Recommended Posts

There is no indication yet that Ms Smith will also step down as MP for Redditch where she has a 2,716 majority.

Am I alone in thinking there's something exceptionally entertaining about the above?

Majority: 2,716 votes. " 529th out of 646 MPs.

I hope that those who revelled in "staying up for Portillo" in 1997 will show the same consideration for Jacqui ;)

May go along for the results night just to sing "You're not troughing anymore".

Presumably they're open to the public are they not?

They all think that by paying back monies and stepping down that they will be safe - truth is that the Public want criminal prosecutions now.

They still do not get how angry we are!

Quite. I will be celebrating her going, but not satisfied.

Seems another good time to remind everyone that the Commissioner for Standards in Public Life announced an investigation into Jacqui's expenses on the 19th February 2009.

Three and a half months later and counting it comes as no surprise that the investigation is still being vigorously prosecuted but that the Commisioner has yet to report.

These people take us for fools.

It is understood she does not intend to quit as an MP and plans to defend her Redditch seat at the general election.

Majority: 2,716 votes. " 529th out of 646 MPs.

With a majority of less than 3k she's got about as much chance of winning next time as Harold Shipman would. And he's dead.

Absolutely.

The jig's up for NuLabwhore, that's for sure.

Patricia Hewitt - the Aussie born British Cabinet Minister who was so involved in outsourcing UK jobs, especially IT jobs, to firms run by Indian billionaires!

Oh, surprise, surprise - guess where she is going?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...l-election.html

She takes over as chair of the UK India Business Council next month.

I'm looking forward to it enormously.

I can't wait.

I think Mr Darling may well be living on borrowed time ... They did an edit last night on the news or Gordon Brown refering to him in the past tense ..

"Alistair has made a great contribution"

I was laughing like a drain ..

This is great news, too good to be true. Now we just need to deal with the small matter of all the other expenses and future benefits that this bunch of crooks are supposedly due. I hope she gets swen up, the gene pool is on its last legs as it is!

I am so sick of Labour it is untrue, Since that One eyed bell seized power I feel as if I am Alex ifrom the fiilm Clockwork Orange getting the 'treatment'.

Please take Jack Straw with you, it is the biggest d1ckhead on the planet with his nodding donkey 45 minute WMD impression. I prey for Labour

Don't presuppose I like any of the other titles either, I want a parliament of common sense and accountability.

I expect a whole bunch will want to retire now that their snouts have been forced out the trough. Its not like they truely gave a damn about the country, look what they done to it.
