Is There Still Gold In Fort Knox?

Recommended Posts

Have read a lot recently on gold price manipulation and Fort Knox gold reserves - which may be connected. Gold is being leased out at an alarming rate which can help suppress the price, but it is still counted as government reserves. There has been no audit of gold reserves since the 50's so nobody can be sure how much gold is really sitting there.

Anybody out there who can comment?

Have a great day

Well according to the telly, some geezers called Auric Goldfinger and Odd Job (part of an organisation called SPECTRE) irradiated it all in Fort Knox making it useless and drastically reducing the world's supply. Luckily some chap called Gordon sold lots very cheaply from the UK a few years back. Also a superstore chain called MFI (or something similar) seem to have lots and lots that they keep threatening to sell. So, in conclusion, there is plenty about, but don't buy gold that glows in the dark. :P:P

Golden Eagle,

You are reading far too much into what you are reading.

Conspiracy theories make for good movies, not real life. Real life is more about surviving cockups.

Even if all the gold is still there it still won't give the dollar any strength. Figures range as high as one ounce backing up to 175,000 dollars in circulation around the world.

It is part of a governments job to protect it's currency, manipulation by politicians is all normal in the age of spin, when has it never been so.

If you do have gold why the concern anyway, if it is true were all quids in.

All markets are manipulated and gold aint no different.

to the op, who knows tthe answer to that? Not me anyway.

Best case senario, no gold in Fort Knox, Comex defaults, MFI  (quality that Zadkiel) then start selling theirs (or maybe they should just divi it up between all countries) and when they stop we have a fair price, BINGO!!!!!!!!!

Worst case, Fort Knox brimming with the stuff, Comex starts building new vaults to hold their ever increasing supply, and MFI were telling porkies all along and instead of having 3000+ tonnes of shiny metal they are groaning under the strains of 10000+ tonnes.

Check out GATA. They had a chat with the Chinese last week.

300 tonnes = 300,000,000 grams

60mil people, or a 5 grams per capita.

thats litte more than a half sovereign held by the BOE on your behalf.
