To get on d ' ladder'

And guess what if mum and dad put 20k of there savings down and you borrow 4.5 times your income you can buy a one bedroom flat and then your on the ' ladder' and you haven't 'missed the boat'.

So lets hope you and your sweetheart enjoy your bijou flat because you'll be in it for 10 years plus unless of course one of two things happen, it go's up value but you can't afford the next rung on the ladder because you have'nt been able to save anything as its all gone on mortgage and bills. It go's down in value and you cant sell it because you need to cover the mortgage.

If either of these things happen its highly likely the Mrs will leave or become pregnant and you will leave.

All very pessimistic but unless your job is safe and you know you will be earning substantially more in the future stay away from buying property.

Its full of pitfalls and the ladder is just an illusion , the reality is you will have to live in a pokey rabbit hutch for a considerable amount of time.
