Northern Rock Reduce Savers Interest Rates

Recommended Posts

Put your money in a 1 year bond.

you could get 3.5% gross.

Or if you put it in a 1 year fixed rate ISA you would get it tax free

Believe what you want, but it was Peter Schiff who alerted me with his 'off the wall' and 'crazy' media appearances in the denial year of mid '06-07, amazingly.

I don't know how everybody else go it so wrong. Pete probably sleeps like a baby every night, knowing he was indeed right.

I took out a 2 year fixed rate mid 2008 at 6.7%

When it matures next year I am expecting to get a 1 year fix at over 5%

These are very good returns IMO

Not sure what I think interest rates will be in 2012

You obviously have very steady nerves ;)

:)

I am a gambler.

But it was a 100% sure bet in my mind...that NR was to be nationalized.
