Was cheap to live in London when I was born...can't understand what went wrong, is it worth paying the price? Looking around I can't see that it does, things are not getting any better...with the IT, conferencing, transport links and communication improvements I can not see why and how London will continue to be the place to be...the quality of life is certainly not improving time to look further afield property prices will stabilise on a comparative scale with other major cites in the UK and rest of the world. ;)

Now the finance sector has shot its bolt combined with better communication technology the commute into London will look increasingly insane. I can imagine it slipping back to just being another Birmingham/Leeds/Manchester with no significant premium.

Also looking into the future would MPs need that second home if they had no need to travel into London to do what could be done without the need to travel? ;)
