A man has been sent to jail after stealing what a district judge described as “rather a lot of cheese”.

West Earlham man David Engall, 44, shoplifted more than £100 of cheese from a city service station, Norwich Magistrates Court heard.

He was caught by police after stealing the cheese from the Firs Service Station in Cromer Road and admitted taking £23.91 worth on April 3 and £83.85 worth on April 19.

Engall, from Keable Close in Norwich, pleaded gulty to both thefts and asked for five other counts of stealing to be taken into consideration.

That included stealing bacon from a shop on June 22 last year, lemon juice on August 19, mince and cheddar cheese in September last year, moisturiser in February this year and ham in January this year.

Engall also admitted obstructing a police constable in his duty and for a breach of a previous court licence and was jailed for 26 weeks by District Judge Philip Browning who said he had stolen “rather a lot of cheese”.

Lisa Britton, prosecuting, said: “The police officers drove down Cadge Road in Earlham at 4.15pm on June 17 last year and saw Engall on his bike. They asked him to stop but he said he was too busy.

Engall was ordered to serve 26 weeks in prison - 12 weeks for obstructing officers from searching him, eight weeks for stealing the food and six weeks for the licence breach.

When Steen says you're jealous . . .

does not mean he is not a lying, thieving, cheating slimeball.

Say no more -

As a practising barrister, MP Anthony Steen specialised in Landlord and tenant plus planning law.

Mr Steen you're nicked !!!

So, fellow seditionaries. I ask you to join me on June 1st 2009 at 9am outside the gates of Parliament to do your duty as an English Citizen (law only applies in England) and perform the arrest of those MPs who have admitted their guilt by repaying their thefts. You may use reasonable force. Before you think "I can't do that!", may I remind you that you can and SHOULD. It is OUR Parliament and they are self confessed thieves.

1st June 2009. 9am. House of Commons. Bring cameras

A list of the documented guilty is being prepared. I will issue citizens arrest warrants on each and every one of them when GOT has the time to do me a funky graphic.

(Grumpy Old twit)
