The Operational Efficiency Programme published on the 21st April, demands a step change in the efficiency with which public services are delivered and heralds big cuts in funding from 2011. Shared services, Outsourcings and Procurement are specifically highlighted the OEP as means to enable public sector bodies to continue to provide quality services within this tight financial regime. However, they have all too often failed to deliver to expectations. The OEP heralds a major increase in outsourcing, shared services and collaborative procurement.

Public sector organisations managers and procurement personnel must start preparing now.

To support and help prepare the public sector for this, Public Service Events would like to offer you a complimentary place at 'Outsourcing, The Keys to Success', taking place at the Barbican Centre, London on the 18th June.

Delegates will hear bout:

  • The Operational Efficiency Programme and its implications
  • The Cabinet Office's role in outsourcing policy
  • Results of the latest National Audit Office review of outsourcing
  • What works, what doesn't, how to avoid problems, how to succeed
  • A legal update

Chaired by Colin Cram, Former Director of the North West Centre of Excellence, the day is ideal for all those who want to get up to speed with the Operational Efficiency Programme and who may become involved in planning and implementing change programmes and outsourcings in readiness for 2011 and beyond.

This event promises to be a great opportunity to share best practice and network with fellow professionals tasked or involved with tackling this key area or who want to know more about it.

We look forward to welcoming you to the conference.
