Also on the sanitised programme tonight, bloke from The Telegraph and Ming Campbell.

If tonight isn't much fun it never will be FFS. <yeah, I know>

What is it with Labour and wheelie bins anyway ?

A month after she was upbraided by the fees office in 2006, Mrs Beckett submitted an invoice dated March 30 – the last day of the financial year – for £4,753, which covered the conversion of a bedroom to a study, work to "extend base of wheelie bin store" and work to install a new floor in the sitting room.

MARGARET BECKETT is receiving round-the-clock police protection and the use of chauffeur-driven cars despite being removed as foreign secretary two years ago.

The housing minister and veteran Labour MP has insisted on retaining a full team of security officers and use of two government cars since 2007 when she was moved from the top diplomatic post by Gordon Brown.

Her refusal to give up the trappings of high office has not only drawn criticism from opposition politicians but has infuriated Labour colleagues who accuse her of “behaving like royalty”.

The annual cost of Beckett’s police security is estimated at £250,000, while the cost of using the two cars is likely to increase her total bill to taxpayers by an extra £50,000 a year.

Just seen a trailer by Dimbleby for this programme.

He named the guests who are on programme and then commented that the Assistant Editor of the Telegraph, the paper that started all this trouble, is on.

Excuse me, but I thought it was the lieing, thieving, deceitful MP's who caused it!

Talk about shooting the messenger!

Be interesting to see how worked up about MP's expenses the audience are. From the public who've been asked on the news they only really seem to be that worked up about the fact some MPs have got two plasma TVs.

Politicians would have to do something the public find really unpalatable like banning depressing soap operas about the working class, keeping cats as pets and small talk about the weather. They'd be dangling from the lamp-posts before you could say 'turned out nice again'.

it'll be the usual stage managed crap. The questions are already written before the audience turns up. Andrew Neil on the show afterwards will be far more interesting...

I predict they get pretty worked up with furious clapping and occasional boo-type noises.

Just showed a clip on BBC news where Margaret Beckett gets a roasting from a member of the audience angrily asking her if she was going to pay back £72,000. MB says no and everyone hisses and boos.

Reporter say`s the mood was one of anger in the recording tonight

Might be worth watching for once
