Now you know why Labour needed Immigrants, to unblock their clogged toilets.

Love the story, Toilet Brown so good to be true.

Even the name of the PM. Brown Brothers - Toilet Unblocking and General Shit Cleaning Co.

That's because there are no skeletons in the Conservative Party's expenses claim cupboard. Otherwise, The Telegraph would have printed them.

Big mistake saying this and using this line of arguement. Labour will no doubt find Tory cases to deflect attention away from their own corruption.

The fact is that Nulabour came to power claiming to be whiter than white, following ethical foreign policy and as an alternative to Tory sleaze. They have also been imposing stricter regulation and monitoring of the population for the last 10 years while flouting the law and lining their pockets at our expense.

If the Tories had their noses in the trough (and some of them will have) it is because Labour presided over a system that positively encouraged it.

For me this opens up an whole new avenue that some people on here have hinted at already. Some of the claims are to do with property, therefore, a logical yet disturbing question must be asked, was the house price boom intentionally created as a way for these corrupt politicians to make money? Maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tight but think about it, it all fits. It seems to me that the absolute ENTIRE government in collusion with the banks created the boom, profited from the good days and then when it collapsed like they knew it would, simply used taxpayers money to bail them out. A true win/win situation. Just speculation but what do you guys think? I believe this goes FAR beyond someone just claiming for a bathplug.

Has Speaker Michael Martin been implicated yet?

I've always had a suspicion that he was one of the pigs with its snout deepest in the trough. It was the way he kept blocking any journalistic attempts to find out what was going on using the FOI Act. He always managed to find a way to claim that it would be detrimental to national security or some such rubbish.

Didn't he claim £4000 (or thereabouts) for taxis for his wife to go food shopping?

Presumably for that £400-worth a month.

And judging from the plumptitude of Mr Speaker's person and the colour of his face (invariably like a well-hung side of raw beef), not too much in the way of organic rocket in Mrs Speaker's shopping bags.

Maybe it wasn't just Prezza who ate all the pies... ;)

How difficult can it be to set up an expenses system for 650 people? Most major corporations seem to deal with expenses for 1000's of employees with no problem of accountability and with clear rules.

It seems clear that MP's from both sides have had there noses firmly in the trough. Which is not a surprise since they have been setting there own rules on what can be claimed! I can't see how parliment can have any credibility to carry on when it is clear they have been stealing from the tax payer who they are meant to represent. Parliment should be dissolved and an election called when the summer recess is meant to take place.

An indepenet panel needs to be set up to go through these claims for the last 10 years and expenses that are not legitimatly for parlimentry business should be reclaimed from the MP's. They should face the same charges as benefit's thieves if they they have been claiming money for expenses not related to the actual job they do.

If we were robbing expenses from our employer we would expect the sack if caught and criminal charges if it was several thouand pounds. We employ these people and I can't see any reason to treat them differently?

Hey Doss,

Yep, it's me.

I'm doin' feckin' great TBH, Doss. Life's never been better. I'm out here living simple and happy.

How are you me darlin'?

Doing good, I lost my job 18 months ago, so as usual I'm one step ahead of everyone else. So for the last year and a half I've been slumming it and completing (ahem, cough, OK mostly dossing) a doctorate started a long time ago. But will need to get back to work soon - should be able to pick up something.

Must go before Mrs D comes in from work and boots my **** for having the house like a bombsite - hence one of the reasons I need to get back to work: sick of being Mrs Ds bitch - although I won't mind role playing about 11 tonight ;) (before anyone comments, that does not mean I take it up the tail pipe from Mrs D, I just mean I won't object to a few stern instructions)

Glad to hear you're well.

D

Cheers D,

All will be fine, you'll see. Never worry about anything any more do I. Life goes on . . . and on . . . and on . . .

Come on, you're clearly letting your emotions get in the way of rationality. If you want ideas and views from ordinary people have a focus group - don't bung your boy 20k.

By 'ordinary people' I don't mean the hoi polloi that the Liberal and Socialists parties exist to represent. I mean hard-working, patriotic and solid English families who respect success and property, that the English Conservative Party always has and will continue to specially represent. Those are the people that the Conways are close to and understand. And you don't find those people in the working-men's clubs of Northern grimy towns or in Liverpool, John Moores, 'university'. You mix with them at Oxbridge and in the classier parts of our great capital city. Then, your party is fully au fait with what is the valued and influential opinions of the day.

It was their constituents that voted them into office!!! And I'm not joking when I say that they might just do it again next time. Never overestimate the voters!

What a mix of toss and Cuckoo land ideas - with this "up-to-date" understanding of the modern British society you are most certainly one of the honourable members of the House of Common Crooks!

Oh QT was from Broon's constituency was it? I will have to iplayer that. Always interesting the lengths the BBC will go to in order to avoid making their paymasters look bad.
