AvidFan
http://www.cnbc.com/id/30430346 Credit Suisse Upgrades UK, Downgrades US By: Reuters | 27 Apr 2009 | 04:35 AM ET Credit Suisse global equity strategy upgraded the UK to 'overweight' from 'market weight' Monday, citing the UK's policy conditions, earnings momentum, cheap sterling and attractive valuations as reasons for the upgrade. The Swiss bank said it had downgraded the U.S. as stocks in country were expensive relative to their peers and that earnings momentum was middling. .../ ...and they've downgraded the US. Time to be in Sterling and the FTSE for the mid-crash UK bounce (before unemployment skyrockets to 4 million) ? I'm off to buy a Toblerone to celebrate. Not such a basket case afterall. Are we sure this is a good thing? Being 'upgraded' to overweight isn't something people usually celebrate.

I take comfort in the fact that those canny swiss money managers think we're good bet. If it's one thing apart from Cuckoo clocks, Toblerone and precision watch movements that the Swiss understand, it's money. We'll forget about UBS for the moment. Bounce in the pound? Is Goldmine's prediciton of $1.85 by year end looking more realistic I wonder? Print those pounds Merv - it's working!
