Mikhail Liebenstein
I've just been playing with property chimp around some of the RH postcodes. I came across this monumental -56% prices drop in Billingshurst. Ouch. I can only assume this is new build BTL territory, but may be wrong. http://www.houseprices.co.uk/e.php?q=Woods...14+0SF&n=10 Edited March 1, 2009 by mikelivingstone

Here's one example I could find on the same road: http://www.propertyfinder.com/cgi-bin/rsea...p;da=NESTORIAUK Looks like small plots, small houses, but perfectly nice and established. Maybe it was something structural?

D179
To be honest, is there not a chance that this is a mistake, I know that area and i would be very surprised if it had sold at that level..

Quite possible that its a divorce or other transfer of assets: You see a lot of these sorts of anomolies and typically they are characterised by a sale at ~50% of previous value as one party buys the other out. kittingerjump
Isn't that area prone to flooding?
herbert_goon
Isn't that area prone to flooding? Thats what I thought - especailly in Loxwood where the renovated canal is. That area is a bit out of the way tbh (used to drive through it every day in my younger years)

Agreed, my next door neighbours divorced and she bought him out. Comes up on search at what the value was.
