Jack's Creation
But it is a nominal profit. If you take into account inflation over 6 years, it's lost money (lot 5) Edited February 11, 2009 by Jack's Creation

sympatex
Crowthorne property sold for more than 2003 at auction. I'm offering 2002 prices through estate agents, no wonder i'm getting rebuffed! At the moment 225 is the "correct" historical price for the houses i'm interest in, i'm trying to get people to bite at 205 but it's not easy. This auction price for the crowthorne property confirms what i thought. There's alot of people with money still in this area, prob priced out earlier in the cycle with big deposits. Maybe it's renting for me then. Which isn't bad, just not what i had hoped for! Cheers TommyB.

the end is a bit nigher
If I could buy anywhere near 28% above 2001 prices I would bite. As an example, a house I like near my parents went for £200k in 2001. Last sold in 2006 for £565k.

Any inaccuracies, errors or suggestions for improvements to the reports, please PM me View this auction Live View summary of this lot I know this area well. It's right on the edge of the shittiest part of town. There are piles of druggies and prostitutes everywhere, which when the economy was OK were kept in check and slightly down the road. This area will go down hill really fast. It would have been the next area to be gentrified. No hope in hell of that happening now. It'll revert back to slum. I'm absolutely certain this house or others like it will sell for 60k in a couple of years.
