It's Gordon's game plan, screw the economy good and proper, call a snap election he knows he'll lose. Let the other muppets in for five years, blame it all on past Tory failures then prepare for New Labour to get back into power in 2013/4, with that sqeaky slimmey guy to be next leader of the Labour party whose name I've forgotten.

Hand over the UK's finances to the IMF, thats the next step.

The UK has now pledged 75% of its total worth...................we are going under and the architect removed the lifeboats to make it look pretty.

And yet still 30% of the respondents want to vote for ZanuLabour, who are these f*ckwits?

1.5 million of them here, PatPrimer, oh and Cogs maybe. Throw in a load of Quangos and council workers and you have New Labours support base.

My previous neighbor was a New Labour voter, his argument being that he "supported Man United and Labour were red too". Thats the level of intellect we're dealing with.

Somebody who supports Man U is probably not a particularly free thinking individual, and you can't expect any opinion expressed in such a manner to be taken seriously. But it's good that you have brought attention to somebodies apparant stupidity in voting without thinking. This general dissassociation with politics remains with a lot of the population, so called intellects as well. What is intelligence? will it provide a solution to the current situation, and how? how would you do it?

It's simple, you give folk two choices for their vote - they can either choose to vote in phone vote TV progs - big brother dancing on ice in the jungle idol - or you can vote with the grown ups in an election. You can't do both. That should reduce Labour's support base and help to reverse the infantilisation of this country.

yeh that would at least get rid of big brother and other useless tv. But it wouldnt create a way forward for the rest of the country, even with the power to vote the options are limited in who would replace the current government. And how does that affect the way we live? where we live?

I'm no conspiracy theorist but could it be the questions were Multiple Choice?

A sadly depressing indictment of our education system. If you think about it the questionnaire probably asked would you vote

1) labour

2) Conservative

3) Lib-dem.

There's your 30%.

His plan should be not to let the Jocks, who traditionally hate the English, wield any power in Whitehall....\\

And yet still Henry Jekyll thinks we live in a democracy, who is this f*ckwit?

Not directed at you, but I've noticed a lot of people here recently think that the tories and labour are different, they also think that the republicans and democrats in the US are different. When the reallity is they are all the same.

The Tories are as bad as Labour and the democrats (including Obama) are as bad as the republicans.

And I get ridiculed for wanting to live in China

You overstate your case, While nobody is going to say the Tories are paragons of virtue, they lack Labours talent for consistently leaving power with the country on its knees and financially ruined.
