Just Offered...

Recommended Posts

Just offered £325,000 cash on house, peak price offers over £550,000, no offers received in over two years. House is empty, can't rent it out, distressed sale.

Will post a link when contracts exchanged, but it's nice.

And it has land.

:)

(Yes, I know but Mrs WHWL doesn't want to wait any longer, particularly with what McBroon and Duckling are up to)

Is that it in the avatar?

Looks good. If it's not, then Mrs WHWL may not be so happy when she realises she could have had that for 325k in about 18 months. ;)

Sigh.

That was one we tried to get in 2004 but failed - couldn't sell our old house in time.

Grade B listed, beautiful cantilevered staircase, stables, etc etc. It was on at £350,000 fixed price with six acres of parkland surrounding it. But it was near Hawick.

We saw it on again when we sold in 2007 at OO £550,000 but they had put in a building plot, for which they wanted £110,000, without which the parkland setting would have been ruined. And they were keeping another bit of land, so there wasn't enough acreage any more. Ar$eh0les!
