Thinking about moving back to the UK from overseas if it looks like a recovery is possible.

I can repair older style houses and probably dont need a mortgage

Are there any sites that allow searches by property condition?

Thanks

What and leave paradise

Ragworth near Middlesbrough was a hotspot for such properties as I recall. I walked through there once late at night on the way to a mates from Teeside Park. Christ.

Mind you, that was the mid-90s. May be a paradise by now, although I doubt it.

Lots of Yorkshire towns had places that were run down, vermin had even prised up and removed the flagstones from the floor.

"Search For Ruined/burnt/damaged House In Uk"

Wait for another 18 months of current policies and you will be able to go with this idea to virtually anywhere in UK

globrix has a keywords feature. It might be worthwhile checking that site and seeing if the words fire-damaged appear in the keywords across a whole county or town.

Also, the fire departments in some area have a website that list all their shouts. It'd just be a case of looking at those, then making a note of roads where there were house fires and doing a monthly drive around/check on Rightmove and auction sites for them.

Or just a general google search for fire-damaged and for sale.
