Leading Law Firm Price Crash!

Recommended Posts

Into my inbox dropped an invitation to the annual tax conference of a leading law firm. To be held in Paris. NOrmally these things are off limits as a result of budgetary restraints - £150 train fare for an afternoon out of the office isn't worth it.

However, so desperate they are for business that the invitation includes the line "if budgetary restraints make attending difficult, please do get in touch and we'll see what we can do"!!!

So you think they are getting desperate?

The lawyers are getting murdered. We recently negoiated a 50% discount to the invoice with very little pushing.

I also know from a reliable source that junior partners of one of the larger city firms have been told to take 6 months unpaid or leave.

The joys of being equity and not staff huh.
