redgenieuk
It might be fraud. The real news however is the mans stupidity I am afraid. Even someone with a real live girlfriend wouldn't let people do this to them. Sorry, I just can't beleive he's been that stupid.

As a general rule, if someone asks for money, say no, and if you are going to lend someone money, make sure its a small enough amount that you would be happy to lose it, apply the same logic to investing in banking shares. yourfriendlyestateagent
I detect a high degree of sarcasm in the original post! Besides how many HPC'ers would even come close to getting scammed like this, most find it hard to spend their money on themselves! Muppets like this guy pop up now and then, and all I can say is he must have been living in a cave for the last 10 years, coupled with a lust for giving money away, this was always going to end this way for this particular gent. Revenge stories. www.ebolamonkeyman.com
indebted
This does raise the question of whether he actually "spoke" to the lady in question?! Seriously though guys, I have to ask, if you had the attention of a lady such as this would you fall for it? Not necessarily giving thousands of pounds away, but do you avoid the "good-looking" ones? This is a genuine question, so please give genuine replies!

Executive Sadman
To be fair he looks a few cards short of a full deck. Whoever gave him the money needs a beating too. No doubt taxpayers will be footing this morons bills in the fullness of time.
Mark Uttley
I know I've been off the dating scene for a while now, but doesn't a hundred grand get your leg over anymore? In may day you thought you had been scammed if you found yourself walking home from the Berni Inn.
'Bart'
Sorry, I just can't believe he's been that stupid. I had to check double check it wasn't April 1st already. I know I've been off the dating scene for a while now, but doesn't a hundred grand get your leg over anymore? That money could get you 54 solid days with an escort type lady (or a variety of such individuals). So I've been told anyway. I'm sure you could perhaps negotiate some sort of bulk purchase discount? Even rationed to 5 hours a week, that's 5 year's worth. Or you can get a mail-order Thai bride for £1950. See selection here. Does anybody have this guy's telephone number? I have a bridge in London that he might be interested in.
