Builders Say 90,000 Jobs At Risk In Next Six Months

Recommended Posts

Barratt cut its debt by 14 per cent to £1.42 billion in the second half of 2008, it said yesterday. Mark Pain, its finance director, is to leave in June. He has been with Barratt for 3½ years. Mr Pain said that he wanted to pursue nonexecutive roles in other companies.

I would suggest that Mr Pain is looking to cure the headache he has had for the last 12 months, and has figured that leaving Barratts would work better than Panadol Extra.

Can't see that as being a good thing. Wish the government would throw some money at them and tell them to keep building, so when we come out of this recession we have some nice cheap housing...

We will have plenty of cheap housing under the flight-path of the new third runway at Heathrow.
