  1. ...and US LNG cheaper than Russian gas or a lot more expensive? Given that Germany is deindustrialising I would say a lot more expensive.
  2. Must be serious as chopping out the vowels didn't stop the rot 😁
  3. Up to you I really don’t care. it would appear that if anyone disagrees with your unsupported assertion that they’re liars. That tells me a lot about your emotional maturity (or lack of).
  4. No you're talking crap. My PT tells me that it's absolute chaos 6-8am and 6-8pm in our gym. Half of the gym numbers are women doing pilates/yoga/aerobics classes. I go on Tues & Thurs afternoons and I can usually count about 40-50 people on the floors with another 20 doing a class.
  5. Living by the sea is all well and good but you do block off one direction of road travel. A work colleague lives in Margate so that's North, South and East all blocked! I assume he doesn't travel very far...
  6. Falling ruble? Surely the graph should be going up or am I missing something here? A strengthening currency does not mean high inflation particularly that absurd figure quoted.
  7. Good! Then we're both on the same page then! And you know who Stepan Bandera is of course... https://peoplesdispatch.org/2023/01/05/ukraines-glorification-of-stepan-bandera-draws-criticism-even-from-key-ally/
  8. Are you;- 1) Aged 14? 2) Physically older but an emotional age of 14? 3) Not taking your meds? 4) Have been or should be diagnosed with Autism/Aspergers? 5) Some or all of the above?
  9. It's either that or the previous purchase tax (as snipped from Wiki) so you could be paying more for some of your goods then rather than now.
  10. In the 40 odd years I've lived in my area I've never been flooded! Also North Downs = chalk. That acts as a huge sponge.
  11. +1 i watch the footie and darts on Sky/TNT and that’s about it. I’m all You Tube these days. Some of the history stuff on there is top drawer.
  12. Same here - my first house was an exLHA semi built in 1979 and you could have a rave and next door wouldn't hear. Our current 1955 semi is on a hill so it's like living in a well sound wise. I going to have the chimney breast knocked out and all the party walls will have a separate sound proof wall added. The front room will also have the ceiling done as well so then we can have a large telly with a surround sound system. I'll also will have have acoustic insulation between the floors and impact matting on the the ground foor as well. We have a basement as well and that will be converted into effectively a music studio as I want to learn to play the electric guitar and be my man cave in general.
  13. Maybe in Norf London but I'm sarf of the river. My place is nearly on top of the North Downs so if it ever flooded it would mean 95% of the UK is under water.
  14. Alas a conclusion I've also reached. You are one of the more considered posters alas drowning in a sea of narrow mindedness. I for one will miss your posts.
  15. And the Americans don't stoke things? Remember Iraq & Libya? We are not too nice, we're a bunch of clowns. Most of our army equipment is blown up in some far away Slavic nation of which we cared not one jot 2 years ago and our Navy is now protecting Israel's shipping routes. Why?
  16. 1) Any credible links to your assertion that Russia is going to invade the Baltics and Poland? 2) Taiwan is part of China as the Americans admit. Here's a snip from the State Dept Website. Why would it invade itself?
  17. Does that practice still exist!! I thought that went out the window in the 1980's when the councils started privatising waste collection? Certainly in Sarf London I've never done anything like that and nor have my neighbours.
  18. My 2oz's worth for 2024 1) Politics - The current globalist clown to be replaced by another one.. or maybe not. Won't make much difference either way the same idiotically damaging policies in place. 2) Geopolitics - Russia on Poland/Hungary's/Romania's doorstep this year... 3) Civil War in the USA? If Trump is barred from standing then that is game on. If not Trump winning by a mega landslide unless the vote counting is fiddled. 4) Sheff Utd to be relegated.. 5) Gold up as usual. Let's say between £1,800-£2,000 per oz. Silver is due a good run at some point. 6) Interest Rates/Inflation - actually hard to say. A recession is now baked in which is deflationary but there's a general election so vote buying needed. Also if the Houthi's are not sorted out then higher prices for goods but less demand.. Let's say interest rates at 4-5% and inflation at 5-7% i.e. stagflation. 7) House prices - another 5-10% off. Would be more but thanks to our open door immigration policy there will always be a demand.
