  1. Is everyone here buying Coinbase, will it be possible via ISA or SIPP?
  2. Yes we've constantly posted PlanB's stick to flow model on here and the halving tracker which shows the near vertical parabolic blow off top in previous cycles but @jiltedjen seems oblivious of this here's the latest chart: re btc alt forks, ha ha that's me, I still haven't claimed my BCH, BSV, BTG but will do so this cycle and sell. Are there any others I should be aware of? Bitcoin Cash ABC, Bitcoin Diamond?
  3. does DB post here still? Anyway, the guy whose work this thread's thesis is based upon is David Hunter. He seems to have got many macro calls correct over the last year or so. I follow him on twitter and his latest interview is very interesitng, highly recommended.
  4. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/31/bitcoin-goldman-is-close-to-offering-bitcoin-to-its-richest-clients.html They won't let it happen
  5. yeah $200k when it was approx $11k https://news.bitcoin.com/day-trader-dave-portnoy-bitcoin-price-never-buy-btc/
  6. Don't be like Portnoy, sold at $11k and can't find an entry point again, didn't understand what he was holding so panic sold and is regretting it ever since.
  7. The new crypto tax manual has been published by HMRC, am still going through it but don't think it's as comprehensive as I was led to believe and open to intepretation. This is geared towards businesses not individuals. https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/cryptoassets-manual/crypto40000
  8. Paypal crypto payments are here https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-paypal-exclusive-idUSKBN2BM10N
  9. lol as a BTC maxi he can't bear to mention that the 'new system' is ETH blockchain, this is bullish for ETH ofc until they hit the gas fee problem!
  10. isn't it a half house? weird shaped garden as well
  11. Just to alert everyone new UK crypto tax guidance to be published on 30th. Looks like they will be targetting Defi, yield farming, staking income etc rather than changing cgt rules etc https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/99517/uk-taxman-fresh-guidance-crypto
  12. this is the only chart you need you can see similar patterns in each cycle
  13. The self proclaimed title of being the best bitcoin debate is simply wrong, most of this is woeful as they both talk through the prism of American chavunism and Mike comes across as a neocon as all he's concerned about is maintaining American world hegemony. However, Mike did bring up the only valid issue and Pomp couldn't answer because he's out of his depth, i don't particularly rate him as a btc advocate. The issue of mining empty blocks and 51% is a real concern and has been addressed in the podcast below by Andreas Antonopolous (who else!, he should've debated Green) with possible solutions https://www.coindesk.com/51-percent-attack-explained-podcast
  14. haha!, as he says he got in because he couldn't bear that the other Norwegian billionaire (Aker) was already in & making money. Keep hodling don't sell your coins to billionaires on the cheap.
  15. https://u.today/new-zealands-350-million-retirement-fund-gets-into-bitcoin Ok in the grand scheme of things it's not much, only 5% of the fund into btc, but it shows the direction of travel as pension funds get involved.
  16. In previous bull runs of 2013 and 2017 we had a few 30%+ pullbacks, we haven't had any of that magnitude this cycle yet.
  17. Hasn't it gone up again into the channel, do you not see a bull flag pattern? Not that I realy bother with TA but sometimes it's interesting, are you going to short it then?
  18. interesting, which neighbourhood? I've been to Ist few times and have friends there, only areas i would consider living are Nisantasi, Besiktas or maybe Moda on the Asian side.
  19. what are the property prices like in Turkey, am guessing astronomical in Istanbul and other big cities and places like Bodrum on the coast?
  20. that's not a good thing is it, could work both ways if he tweets something negative.
