  1. The housing apocalypse is nigh! Luckily Kristy and Phil have been preparing and today sealed themselves into their recently acquired property! Along with other property "experts" they will use a network of underground bunkers to coordinate the rebuilding of their property portfolios! Occasionally one of these "experts" may surface for an interview you can tell these people these people are part of the network as their skin will be the same colour as the walls in there many BTL's. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1042964.stm

  3. The reporters I’ve been watching are starting to turn on the NR customers saying things like “Why are you getting your money out”? and “Why don’t you believe the government”? The reporters are insinuating people are wrong to take their money out of their own accounts. If this isn’t disingenuous media hyping I’m not sure what is! One person on the message pages of sky news made a good point saying, why should we trust the government on this; we trusted their promises on pensions and look where we are now!
  4. Having GB as PM is like bringing Peter Crouch on 10 mins before full time when your losing 6-0 to Germany, He’s done well in the past but no one can change the inevitable! The match is nearly over and the nations out of the game!
  5. I hate that thing he does with his mouth when he talks anyone else noticed it?
  6. Not sure if this has been posted before. Words fail me! on many levels! http://www.24dash.com/socialhousing/23632.htm
  7. Michael Barrymore once said what is a hot spot not? Not a good spot!
  8. Thanks to everyone who replied to my question, I’ve by wanting to ask that for some time. Am I missing the whole point here? People live to their means. There aren’t many people posting on here who earn less that 20K PA…..That’s because the lower paid jobs aren’t based around a computer all day, they are out cleaning the streets, packing boxes in a factory, getting our sandwich ready for lunch, and caring for the sick.. These people also need a roof over there head, and the people on this site are speaking up on their behalf. Well done!
  9. Simon I pay 450 a month for a two bed semi, so your on to a good thing by the sound of it. I'm on Feriby road so a good area but, the prices arn't justified. I've noticed houses in bad areas are now up for as much as £600 PM When I moved in 2003 a new build detached was selling at £120,000, WOW you may say but 3 months before they were selling at £90,000 and I thought they were over priced then!! I sold my last house for £140,000 the man who bought it self certed at 6 times his salary, claiming to be self employed. The house is now up at the same price I sold it for 3 years ago and has been stuck on the market around 5 months. The crash is coming now there are to many factors involved which will tip it over. There is only one question to be asked and thats do house prices always go up? A=No!
  10. Being new to all this I’m keen to know what other peoples situations are? I know its not just me who can’t afford to buy and I’m on a decent wage. What about the rest of you. An apology in advance if this has been asked before on here and if it’s a bit intrusive but if you don’t ask you don’t get? Like can I have 50K off you overvalued port-a-loo Mr Property developer? Where do you live? What’s your status (STR, FTB etc)? What do you earn? Where do you live Hessle Nr Hull What’s your status (STR, FTB etc)? STR What do you earn? £30,000 PA
  11. :oRobbing Peter to pay Paul will only work for so long!! Peter believe it or not has a group of friends called debt collectors!!
  12. The prices are out of my reach I’m earning 30K a year. Some may say I could buy at that in Hull but who’d want to?? My first house was 40k and I had sleepless nights thinking about how much I’d borrowed!! The way I see it I’d not buy a Ford escort for 50K when its only worth 1K just to own a car. I’d get the bus. Likewise I’d not buy a house for 100K when its only worth 10K Thanks for you reply Si I’m living in Hessle also would hate to move to Hull all be it on our doorstep! What’s everyone else’s position?
  13. That should have said The best bit in the article is where it mentions people don’t mind buying house on flood planes. Maybe not but they’re not going to pay over the odds for one that in 6 months time it’s flooded again. This is literally money down the drain!!! Sorry I was laughing so hard!!
