  1. Sh! Don't mention Alex Jones or you'll attract all the forum trolls like Peter Hun, Laughing Gnome, Happy_rentboy and Xquork on your tail. Just in case anyone missed this... http://www.prisonplanet.com/evidence-points-to-bp-oil-spill-false-flag.html
  2. One of the best posts on HPC for ages. Just had to amend one word though.
  3. Good find. So why didn't he say these things before the election I wonder?
  4. Obviously, here in euroland we are more than a little worried about our one size fits all currency. What with all the rumours and half truths flying around I thought it might be prudent to diversify a bit. However, I was quite surprised how difficult it was to change currencies. Three banks/building societies wouldn't even give me a quote without opening an account and the other one gave poor rates and high commissions. Quite amazed to find my own bank was the best in the end. Anyone else in the UK tried to change one currency into another in cash outside of their own bank? Incidently, we aren't talking massive amounts.
  5. Morning Laura, Just over the border, everyone's moaning about the heat at the moment! (not me) As for the economy, round one kicks off next week with the general strike against the austerity measures on the 8th of June. Round two in July will be much more interesting when a massive load of debt becomes due to be refinanced. Also, I had some friends over for a long weekend and they still thought that prices in the bars and restaurants were very cheap whereas I've 'adjusted' my standard of living and thought they were quite expensive. But, the biggest shock for them was that when we visited the tourist area, there were very few people about, especially in the centre and even walking along the seafront people were spaced well apart. Beaches deserted too! Also, a couple more of the English bars had disappeared. Calm before the storm could be right! MIS

  9. For me, the 'July D-Day for Spanish Debt' (11/12) graph is the most interesting. Could be a long hot summer! P.S. Another Caja merger! http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a5yVuAOtP07k&pos=4
