Irish Antitax Movement - Stoicism Wearing Thin

bin charges are around 400 euros per year, 100 euros for primary school bus per child 360 euros for secondry school bus per child 200-300e annual book costs for school kids 592 euro car tax on a 1800 cc engine ,220 gbp in uk .thats over double v.r.t. import tax on cars at 25% more than the uk. 50 euros to visit a doctor and the exorbitant perscription charge on top 100 euros to visit an A&E dental charges 2-3x uk rates thus 50% of the irish are cornered into paying 2000-3000e per annum health insurance pot holes everywhere, few rubbish bins hence litter strewn everywhere, very few public swimming pools or kids play grounds the 100 euros household tax is a gateway tax which will increase 10 fold ,its sole purpose is to repay the german and french bank gamblers not local services that the corrupt theives in the irish parliament claim. i,d rather pay council tax in the uk and have a bit of service anyday.

    Northern Ireland Economy

hi ride_on i still think those 500 jobs for citi bank offer good value at 17k once off payment, it keeps the employees of the dole and hopefully they,ll be paying taxes . even if those jobs only last a few years (delorean) its still cheaper than funding some non essential unsackable public sector employee who,s costing the state at least 40k per year given pensions, sickies ,lumpsum and salary. as to your different question( i think) on the cost or value of banking bailouts ,we all know if the government or their appointed buddies in the FSA were awake on duty we wouldn,t be on the hook for the banking mess.

    Northern Ireland Economy

this is still better value than those lifers in the government job club suckling on the public sector teat. ie. a friend has just retired /early redundo at 51 from the civil service with a tax free lump off 90k and a indexed linked pension for life on 14k per year.
  13. http://www.independent.ie/business/personal-finance/property-mortgages/buytolet-owners-face-losing-trackers-2406954.html more depressing news for the losevestors ,the rest of the banks to follow shortly.

The "irish House Hunter" Report Sweepstake

http://www.propertynews.com/brochure.php?p=UPS11217-12-1255919 this ones looking good value now for any potential B.T.Letters out there. similar property near by for 470 per month ,providing the housing benefit cap isn,t reduced bigtime thats a yield of around 10% , looks a low maintenance house though you,d be dealing with dole merchants tennants unless you farmed it out to an agent. heres a rental nearby http://www.propertynews.com/brochure.php?r=1&c=30&s=109323231&i=4&p=PNC292304&fp=1&sort=l2h

    Northern Ireland Economy

a friend was a foreman on several newry building schemes around 2006-2007 he told me that canny was buying around 25% of their houses, hopefully the tory,s will reduce the housing benefit prop to landlords, and the low IR crutch will be removed given the impending high inflation we should have another 50% correction from todays prices. slowly slowly catch the monkey .
