  1. They are now looking at food investments, Baked Beans appear to be the favourite now.
  2. Between Q4 2010 and Q4 2011 you will witness once again double digit Interest Rates. The Debtors may smirk now but unless they change their attitude to their debts they will be wiped out. At the next General Election in 2010 it will be the beginning of their sad demise. The Global Economy will never be the same again, caution will rule for the next 10 years and the EU will witness severe problems amongst their ranks. A new Website and Forum due to come online in June 2010 will be full of very interesting info.
  3. As fast as I spend it so it keeps coming in, I can`t win. Remember the advice of Warren Buffet 3 years ago when he was asked what were the future best assets to invest in. I believe he replied, I can think of three. 1. Cash 2. Cash 3. Cash.
  4. You Sir/Madam are a first class P R I C K you have not a f*****g clue of real life, I`m afraid your personal future like Orange is far from being bright due to your moronic attitude. You are quite welcome to report this post to the Mods. I say again you are a COMPLETE P R I CK.
  5. I can confirm this, low mileage popular models are selling fast. Passed a local Dealer two weeks ago who only sells low mileage quality cars, forecourt packed, sadly my car gave up the ghost 3 days ago, went to the Dealer and was shocked to find 75% of his stock had been sold in that two weeks, luckily he had a great bargain in the vehicle I was after, told me his buyer was having trouble buying cars at the price he wanted. Three weeks ago he sold a certain model at a bargain price but now finds a similiar model is now asking £600 more. I will not mention model names to prevent the old replies of that is rubbish, never buy one, you`ve been conned. My example. 3 years old. Showroom condition. 11k on the clock. New price £15k Paid £6k Magic, cash buyers are King.
  6. What we have witnessed is: The Global Face Of Unacceptable Capitalism, watched and ignored and condoned by those who supported it as their coffers filled with massive extra tax revenues. The Watchers and Regulators were all part of a massive irresponsability of their duties.
  7. Old Age, I decided, is a gift I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be. Oh, not my body! I sometime despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggyeyes, and the sagging butt. And often I am taken aback by that old person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother/father!), but I don't agonize over those things for long.. I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less grey hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avant grade on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant. I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging. Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon ? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 & 70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love .. I will. I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old. I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things. Sure, over the years my heart has been broken... How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect. I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning grey, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver. As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong. So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become . I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be... And I shall eat dessert every single day. ( If I feel like it). So there. Got to go now to rub my Jane Fonda cream in.
  8. Simple really. http://safalra.com/other/historical-uk-inf...ice-conversion/ Hi ho hi ho a little do we know, why the UK people are kidded and taken for a ride.
  9. Volvo will win through in the future, watch this space, pink is the new colour.
  10. Renting once again will be the future. The 1988 Housing Act will be revoked and a new Act similar to the 1977 Rent Act will be introduced. A Guy with £300k in a savings account ( very important ) earning a disgusting pittance could buy 2 flats in a nice area at a bottom price of £150k and get a return of at least £900 a month less tax. If I had the money I would definitely go for it, cash can become King if you have it and invest even in the present Economic Climate.
  11. Margaret Thatcher’s dream of GB being a home owning Nation will die a sudden death. The Government will eventually revoke the 1988 housing act and bring back legislation similar to the 1977 Rent Act. Renting will once again be the new future. Only the rich, the prudent, and those well off will buy and own houses, as it was in the past, and pre the Margaret Thatcher Era. Only Professional Landlords will once again reign supreme, as it was in the past and will be in the future. The amateur BTL will be eaten by the Wolves.

  14. Quick fingers typing a couple of years back, more appropriate if I had posted pre August 2005 before that infamous MPC rate cut. Will try to do better in future.
  15. Oh come on Injin he was only trying to earn a reasonable living to feed his wife and Kids.
  16. Is this the same Jeff Randall who said a couple of years back that GB was the most successful Chancellor this and last Century? By Golly how now you pick your Heroes.
  17. Was that not a famous song of The Carpenters?
  18. Don`t worry about it 99.99% of the population did not have their fingers on the pulse until realism hit them. Goodnight and pleasant dreams to you all.
  19. How sweet will their revenge be at the next General Election, Brown ignores them at his peril. Note my signature.
  20. Come, come all you SM investing experts of this Forum, the silence is deafening. Where are Bubb Van Sledgehead etc. The Amateurs are now dabling, another disaster to come.
